Innovative technology in chemical crop protection

Daily: 2.00 pm – 2.40 pm

Innovative technology in chemical crop protection is in demand when it comes to achieving the highest precision and effective savings in product usage. On the Live Arena course, 13 modern crop protection sprayers – including 7 trailed models and 6 self-propelled units – will demonstrate their capabilities. The focus is on intelligent boom guidance systems and modern nozzle technologies under realistic operating conditions. On the Bumpy Track and the Field Track, interested visitors can experience state-of-the-art field sprayers in live operation under simulated practical conditions. Manufacturers will demonstrate how innovative boom guidance systems and precise nozzle technology actively compensate for horizontal, uncontrolled movements, thereby ensuring application accuracy even under demanding conditions.

Following this, the machines on the Innovation Track will demonstrate forward-looking application technologies such as band application and spot spraying in row crops. This allows visitors to experience first-hand the high potential for targeted active ingredient application and a significant reduction in inputs. In addition to observing the machines in action, visitors will benefit from a live drone feed: the runs through the course will be broadcast from new perspectives on an LED screen, providing an additional, detailed view of the technology, precision and functionality in action.

The demonstration will be commented on by Harald Kramer, LWK North Rhine-Westphalia, Münster.
